When is the DeKeyser decision? Do we have any realistic chance at landing him?
"...His calling card is really five things - his work ethic, on and off the ice; his skating ability; his defensive stick; his talent as a puck mover; and his intelligence as a hockey player." -Andy Murray
In terms of Defencemen, this sounds pretty much spot on to fill the Suter spot. |

Josi's filling Suter's spot just fine. DeKeyser would be a good replacement for the spot that Josi vacated, although Bartley is playing about as well with Klein as anyone ever has.

Not me. Iginla going to the Pens gives me even more reason to root for them. I'd love to see Iggy and Vokoun get their rings. Now that Selanne already has one I can't think of anyone on any other team that I'd like to see win the cup out of sheer sentimentality than Iginla and Vokoun. Especially Vokoun. |

How awesome is it that Sully is playing his 1000th game tonight in Smashville. Even his dad is tweeting about how great it is. I hope he gets the longest, loudest standing ovation ever!!!! |

Happy for him & his family. The last time I talked with him, he had 2 goals. 1000 games played & a chance to play for a cup. Sully was in Pittsburgh the wrong year!
Just wish BT didn't hate aging vets!!!
Get to go downstairs tonight so hopefully I can run into him. |

Congrats to Sully for reaching 1,000 games!! I am so glad it will be here tonight. I will give him a standing O.
Also, I would like to be in the Pens locker room when Iggy and Vokoun go face to face on the same team with the long running feuds they used to have here. |

My family of 5 will be there tonight - standing and applauding Steve Sullivan on his 1,000th game. Talk about a classy person who personifies hard work & never giving up - that's Mr. Sullivan.
I have an inside contact who was convinced Sullivan would never play another game just a few short years ago. But he fought back, and has written a nice ending to his NHL career. Preds fans should have nothing but respect & hearty applause for what he has meant to this franchise.
As for the game - this is one of those classic "trap" games to me. The Preds should win, especially with Smith out. Not sure if we'll get LaBarbera or the rookie guy they called up last week in goal - but the Preds certainly have an advantage in goal. Just hope this isn't one of those dreaded games where the Preds come out flat and give them some momentum.
Anybody heard if Goose is back in tonite? If so, who is the odd man out?

Agreed, but Josi, Bartley and Blum are all RFAs after this season, if I am not mistaken.... |

Sully for his 1000th game. I am so gonna be cheering for him tonight from section 208. Just dont want him to score on us.. LOL. But truly a great player and person. Always took time to sign autographs. His comeback, grit and determination... Sully will always be one of my favorites. Vokoun, also... he is one of the main reasons I love this sport. |

He would be a great replacement for a guy like Hal Gill who is a great pker. My impression of Dekeyser is that he is a very solid defensive player and a passer. He would work perfectly with Ellis. |

Just saw that. So, I guess they will roll them out the way they have been - which is not horrible.
I kinda hope we see LaBarbera in net. That Johnson kid is who shut the Preds out back in January. Since they played last night & Johnson has a good record (1-0) against the Preds...well...he'll probably play! Let's hope they get to him early!!!
